Art & Music for All

Inclusive arts experiences where every student has the opportunity to create, communicate, and participate.

Art & Music for All brings weekly adaptive visual art and music experiences to students at the Burkett Center. Designed to meet students where they are, the programs create meaningful opportunities for creative expression, communication, exploration, and connection.

ART FOR ALL
Adaptive, process-based visual art experiences encourage self-expression, fine motor development, communication, sensory exploration, and creative problem-solving.

MUSIC FOR ALL
Interactive music experiences use rhythm, movement, sound, and song to encourage participation, communication, listening, emotional regulation, and joy.

Why it matters

Every student deserves opportunities to experience the arts in ways that recognize their individual strengths, abilities, and ways of communicating. Art & Music for All creates a supportive environment where students can make choices, explore materials and sound, build confidence, connect with others, and experience the joy of creating.

Arts access in action

Each week, students at the Burkett Center have opportunities to participate in visual art and music experiences designed around their individual abilities and needs. Professional teaching artists, educators, volunteers, and community partners work together to create experiences that are accessible, engaging, and meaningful.
